Dr. Sara Lawrence Lewis

Obstetrician and Gynecologist

Owner of Charis Women's Wellness and Maternity Care Center.

I am a proud mother of two. My innate passion for women's health and wellness made obstetrics and gynaecology the clear choice for my medical subspecialty. Having my son 3 days prior to starting med school made my journey to this point a personal one as I was intent on enhancing the landscape of the antenatal journey and delivery process in Jamaica. It is my honour and privilege to support women in all stages of their life and continue to be in awe as I get to partner with God with the miracle of pregnancy and childbirth.  It would be my honour to serve you... with Goodness, Grace and God's Love!

As a practicing Obstetrician & Gynaecologist I am passionate about building lasting relationships with women, helping them attain their best (reproductive) health & wellness. I take pride and pleasure in treating the complete woman as she journeys from adolescence to pregnancy to menopause and beyond. I look forward to serving you!

I have enjoyed serving women as an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist. It has been an extremely fulfilling role being able to partner with women as I ensure safe and optimal health care along their medical journey .
Recognising that this relationship can be delicate and based on trust, I strive to meet women wherever they are physically and emotionally through a wholistic approach to satisfy their unique obstetric and gynae needs always.

Ruth-Ann Taylor

Certified Breastfeeding Specialist

I am a mother of four, who has always been interested in supporting healthy breastfeeding. What started out as shared family wisdom between myself and my mother, has over the past 10 years become a survival system for other young moms and families around me.

From stimulating flow to increasing supply and ensuring proper latching, I am not only certified in lactation support but passionate about helping families maintain happy moms and healthy babies at every step of the breastfeeding journey. Having obtained a BSc. in Actuarial Sciences, I also apply superior analytical skills to better support breastfeeding families through all stages of pregnancy and the normal course of lactation.

Massage Therapist

I am a spa consultant, Licensed Massage Therapist and wellness coach with over 20 years of experience and you can see I just love when people feel good about themselves.

I have had managerial roles at many of Jamaica’s leading hotels and spas and am proud to have carved herself out as one of Jamaica’s leading massage therapists. Being a woman can be hard, you deserve to relax and be pampered, I look forward to taking care of you!

Not only am I certified in Prenatal and Post-natal massage therapy I am proficient  in Swedish, deep tissue and shiatsu massage therapy, reflexology, trigger point therapy, aromatherapy, hot stone among many other massaging modalities.
